american idol season 8 revealed a new twist as promised last night, it is the judge's save. this season, the judges has the power to save someone from eleimination. if the judges unanimously agrees that the person that got the lowest number of votes does not deserve to go home, they can save that person but 2 person will go home the next week. the jedges can only use this power once this season and they can only use this until the top 5. this is the show's answer to avoid the surprise elimination of the likes of jennifer hudson, michael johns and chris daughtry.after the michael jackson night last night, the votes are in and 33 million votes were casted. the first group was called out and the ones put to safety were michael sarver, allison iraheta, matt giraud and kris allen. on the danger zone were jasmine murray and megan corkrey. megan was then put to safety and jasmine was eliminated. randy then informed her that the judges decided not to save her.
the first person going home tonight is jasmine murray.
the second group then got the verdict. the ones safe were scott macintyre, alexis grace, danny gokey, adam lambert and lil rounds. included in the bottom group were anoop desai jorge nunez. and the second person going home was jorge. simon then said that the judges also decided not to save him.
so the second person going home tonight is jorge nunez.
there is really no surprises tonight. i have posted in my previous blog that my bottom four are megan, jasmine, anoop and jorge. i got the bottom 4 spot on. but anoop escaped elimination mainly because of his exposure in the earlier rounds. of the two, i feel disappointed of jasmine because i really liked her in the earlier rounds but she faltered in the finals.
we now have our top 11 singers... next week will be country week, who will be going home next?
