in the us version of survivor, there is a thing called the "car curse". in all of the seasons where there is a car reward, all the winners of the car never made it as sole survivor. here is a summary of previous winners of the car reward challenges and the sole survivor for that season:





looking at the table, it is clear that out of 13 season with a car reward, all car winners never won as sole survivor. even yau man who tried to avoid the curse in survivor fiji by giving the car to another castaway (dreamz) did not escape the curse.
